Jack Cohen's formative years...

Here's the bio of Jack Cohen. It is also called Jacques Cohen.

Jack Cohen was born in Alexandria, Egypt in 1930. Five years later, he immigrated with his family to Israel in 1395 where he grew up in Jerusalem. During his military service in World War II, he had been distributing newspapers as he was the main distributor of "Haaretz" in Jerusalem for several years. Jack's dream of becoming an Actor is closer than ever as he played for an amateur band in the YMCA in 1954. Prior to starting to act movies, he was one of the theater group "circle", which was led by Philip Diskin, constituted the founding core of the Kahn Theater. Jack was with the group played in the play called "Noah" by Andre Obey.

In 1956 his first movie he acted was "La Mestiza" in Spain. The black and white film. His first Israeli movie he acted was "Sayarim (scouts)" in 1967.

In 1985 to 1988 he played the character of Abu Rami, a restaurant Arab Jerusalem, the successful television series " great restaurant ". In 1988 he participated in "Great restaurant wedding" with the rest of the cast of the series. On December 1, 2016, Jack Cohen died of Pneumonia at age 86. He is survived by his wife, three children and grandchildren.
